More than twenty years in the making: what began in 2005 as a desktop experiment called Fretboard Knowledge, and from 2016-2026 was this website with static images, is now a complete, interactive fretboard for the advancing guitarist. Scales, chords, modes, voicings, charts, and a study book that ties it all together.

After you've learned the scale on each individual string as well as the CAGED patterns, it time to progress to the "3 Notes Per String" fingerings.
These fingerings facilitate a completely consistent picking technique, which is a requisite for increasing playing speed.
Practice using alternate picking and sweep picking.
